Although the history of the market can be dated back as far as 1209 the market as we know has been at Standerwick since 1990 and has grown from strength to strength.
Our Auctioneers & Fieldsmen
Symonds & Sampson and Cooper & Tanner have acted as joint auctioneers at the market for many years and are some of the most experienced in the region. We are also pleased to have a number of younger auctioneers whose enthusiasm is helping to shape and grow the market.
We also have dedicated fieldsmen whose expertise and experience is unrivalled.
All are supported by a hardworking office team who ensure the smooth running of market days.

Our History
The market can be traced all the way back to the Doomsday Book many centuries ago but the market we now know has been at Standerwick since 1990 and traded as Premier Livestock Auctioneers for many years until 2013 when Frome Livestock Auctioneers Ltd was formed by members of Symonds & Sampson and Cooper & Tanner. The market has since continued to go from strength.
